The Ministry of Health has just advertised for a Chief Science Advisor. The Ministry have outlined the position’s purpose as working to “…ensure robust and credible science is at the core of decisions within the Ministry.” They are also looking to improve connections to Te Ao Māori, to work to ensure best practice in evidence-informed policy across government, and to advance cross-departmental issues.
Juliet and the Office of the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor wholeheartedly supports this initiative and would like to see a diverse field of candidates apply for this position.
