In 2020, the Office released a report that explored the future of commercial fisheries in Aotearoa New Zealand. The report focused on how New Zealand’s relationship with the ocean can be improved. Packed within its pages were case studies of innovation.
To complement these stories, Xanthe’s intern project translated a handful of the report’s ideas into podcast form. The result is ‘Catch On!’, a short-form podcast. Each episode is 20 minutes and transports listeners to the environments where marine innovation is being practiced. The podcast reflects the intention of the original report: to encourage innovation and inspire transformation within Aotearoa’s fisheries.
